The Archive

A captivating look through my high school portfolio, I show the start of my creative spark, taking you on a journey of how I viewed cities and my surroundings. Places such as San Francisco and the ideas of New York sparked a unique perspective on the rough textures and scenes in a bustling city. City on My Back
$450.00

With connections to past work, the piece uses a map as its base. The Shoulders outlined in white represent cities with sharp turns. The large face with patterns in white shows how everyone has differing identities, which overshadows the smaller figures. It illustrates how some people feel smaller than others. They use a two-point perspective and cool colors to emphasize the quietness of these figures.

On The Flip Side

Spiraling Beauty
$115.00

With hints of San Francisco and even the streets of Brussels, this piece emphasizes the different perspectives of cities. The black spiral in the left-center shows how we are all in the same place, but the more you explore (or the further out the spiral is), the people and the city gets more diverse. When you rotate the piece to the left, it has the same perspective and start as some of my other work connecting it to the city theme. The yellow and blue colors that take up a vast majority of the painting emphasize the place where I grew up being near San Francisco. Altogether, it is an abstract yet symbolic piece of all people who find themselves within the maze of a city.
