This collection of work focuses on the standards of society. The pieces are inspired by street art and graffiti through depictions of hooded figures and graffiti symbols. The work symbolizes authenticity throughout time and how the artist who tags buildings or paints murals never changes their core identity. The first piece in the gallery has a map as its bottom layer. The map I used was a Michelin map from Paris in 1985 was tucked away in my art class along with many aeronautical maps. The maps later acted as a base for my painting while also connecting to a place I visited at a young age. The paintings in this collection were all made from early to mid-2023.
